The Decorator Dream eBook Morgan Willows

Amelia North has just landed her first client to call her own at the small interior decorating company she works for. Marshall Powers has hired The Cat's Meow decorating company to decorate the home he has purchased out of necessity due to child custody issues with his ex-wife. His concrete, firm deadline of five weeks has Amelia's head spinning but she's determined to get the job done. It's not easy trying to maintain a professional distance from an attractive man who seems intent on making Amelia his. Adding to Amelia's stress is her single motherhood and a vicious co-worker who seems bent on getting Marshall for herself and destroying Amelia's career.

I really liked Amelia, but I did find her to be a little high-strung and over-dramatic. I suppose the same could be said for Marshall, he was also a little histrionic at times. Still they were likable people, with good chemistry. This isn't steamy, erotic or markedly sexy though, it's just pleasant. The writing is pleasing, the story is neatly paced and flows well.

I would have liked to have seen a little more depth to both Amelia and Marshall. I did feel that this romance never really got beyond the superficial level of attraction or explored much in the department of character development. I do have a hard time accepting the time frame in which feelings developed, but that's always going to be a common issue with romance novels, and this isn't an exception to that rule.

Overall, I thought this was just a very nice little story, calming and relaxing.

*This is a clean romance, no sexy times.

The Decorator Dream eBook Morgan Willows Reviews

This book was a beautiful story of love conquering fear. The characters and storyline captured me from the beginning and held my attention to the very end.
This was a cute read with cute characters. Maybe a little long winded at times, but it was good! I wish there was a little more dialogue instead of just internal thoughts.
a decorator finds herself attracted to her client but is highly reluctant to get into a relationship and risk the heart of her young daughter. A nice read.
I liked Marshall and Amelia. All though the whole romance was a bit dramatic, that gave it the feel of an old school romance, it worked.
The author could perhaps in her future writing, get rid of the villain figure. It is very old fashioned and it did not add to the story at all.
Modern romances have girlfriends that add to the story line.
I just finished reading, "The Decorator's Dream," and I absolutely loved it! It had everything I love in a book, a great love story, saddness when you thought there would be trouble in paradise, a trouble maker who kept interferring and so much more! It is a must read..If you like .authors such as Melody Anne, Ruth Cardello, Judy Angelo and Kathleen Brooks, you will love thiw book by Morgan Willows. It will not disappoint!
Decorator's Dream is a sweet story about 2 Single parent families. Of course, they are gun shy from their child's other parent. One who was abandoned as soon as she got pregnant and had to bring up her child alone, except a aunt who helps out as she can. The other parent was married because he thought she was the ONE. But, she was on the rebound, never loved him, and goes back to the other man as soon as he reappears. And she has tried anything and everything to make him fight to get to see his child. (including trying to say it wasn't his child) He is made to get a permanent home for her with only a 5 week window to show a family court rep to get his full visitation. Of course, here comes the decorator. She is given the task to make his new house into a home in 5 WEEKS. It is a task that anyone can tell you cannot be done in 5 weeks. But, she is driven to get him the home he needs to keep his visitations with his daughter. Love or at least attraction at first glance? Maybe, but will they get past abandonment issues to get to the happy ever after? Throw in a designer who is jealous of her co-workers first assignment (before her) and tries to get the main charater off of the assignment and fired to boot with lies and all kinds of tricks.

This is a sweet book with the happy ending we all know is going to happen. But, the road to get there is an up and down ride of "what will happen next?" Try this book whose sweet, but, fearful characters who have found just what they needed but are so afraid to reach for it. They work so hard to make that next step that could be a life alone and lonely or the life they always dreamed of. (And when will she snatch her nasty co-worker bald-headed?) As my sweet mother would say. Good read!
I usually don't write reviews cause I really don't do a good job at it. But when I opened this book to start reading I could not put it down. I couldn't believe the steam that came from Amelia and Marshall when they first kissed. I really thought the book was well written but I kind of wish the author would have taken the steam up a bit. It's a book that anyone would love to read and not put down. From the beginning Marshall talked about his daughter and I would have liked a bit more about her and her actually showing up in the book and not just at the end.

It's a great read and all ages will enjoy it totally
